Culinary Art, Pressed by Hand
Limited edition graphic apparel, featuring original Gyotaku style prints of the tools that we work with, and that feed us.

Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish using ink and rice paper. I've taken this historic art form out of the sea and into the kitchen.
Every design begins in my New Jersey Home. I apply traditional paint directly to the steel and wood of professional knives, and wires of whisks- pressing the impression by hand to capture every scratch, dent, and character mark of the tool.
What you wear is not a digital graphic. It is literally the fingerprint of the kitchen.

About Me.
I've been a professional chef for over 30 years. And while most of my time has revolved around work and family, I also like to keep busy with other creative outlets, such as music, photography, and painting. I recently discovered the art of Gyotaku- a Japanese style of art where the subject, traditionally fish, is covered with ink or paint, and then covered with rice paper to create the image. I started doing this with some of the many knives in my collection and a friend of mine said, "Hey, that would look cool on a shirt".
And with that, FullRail Tees was born. While I only have 2 different shirts today, I have many prints I'd like to put on shirts in the future. But for now I'm starting small.
I also have always given to charity, and figure this is a great way for me to be able to continue to give through my art.
